The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide

The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide - Stephenie Meyer Not very interesting to read cover to cover, but it does have great information about the saga that any fan would love to read. My favorite part is the interview with Stephenie Meyer at the beginning. On page 6, she talks about how twilight was her personal story just for her. That was inspiring to me as a writer to write things just for me. Then Shannon Hale talks about if your only purpose for writing is for other people to read it, then the point of writing has been lost on you. I like on pages 8 and 9 where she talks about losing her identity while being a mom and how the creative outlet of writing was the best one she'd found. I related to that so much as a mom of young kids. On page 14 she talks about how her favorite part of writing was reading what she had wrote because it was the perfect book just for her. After that, you read dry bios about all the characters (who are all apparently at least six feet tall). I do really like the playlists at the end of the book and the foreign covers and fan art were nice to look at. I would recommend referring to it as a reference when you are reading the series and just skim through it and enjoy. I have a weird need to read everything cover to cover and I'm happy to say that I did it. And now I'm just going to refer to it when I need to :)This book is also reviewed on my blog Books: A true story
