Bringing Up Boys
It helped me understand more about boys since I grew up with all sisters. It was more religious than I thought it was going to be and although I agreed with him on his views about gender, someone who didn't would find themselves throwing it against the wall. The author is a little opinionated. He points out the value of masculinity and how to relate to and discipline boys. I liked it a lot and it helped me understand my two boys a lot better (and even my husband a little bit:) The biggest lesson I got out of it was the importance of the father to young boys.
